Renesas Electronics Corporation, a key player in the field of advanced microcontrollers, has recently announced the launch of its new RX23E-B Microcontroller Unit (MCU). This latest addition to their product line boasts a 24-bit delta-sigma A/D converter, which is notably eight times faster than its predecessor, with a maximum sampling rate of 125 kS/S.

  • CPU Performance: The RX23E-B features a 32 MHz 32-bit RXv2 core, enhanced with Floating Point Unit (FPU) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) instructions.
  • Memory Allocation: It comprises 256 KB of code flash, 8 KB of data flash, and 32 KB of SRAM, catering to diverse application needs.
Analog and Conversion Capabilities
  • High-Precision ADC: The MCU’s 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC with Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA) offers an ultra-low noise of 190 nVRMS at 977 SPS/gain=64.
  • Analog Input and Other Features: The MCU supports ±10 V analog input and includes a 16-bit DAC, VREF, IEXC, VBIAS, LSW, TEMPS, and a 12-bit SAR ADC.
Communication and Timing Functions
