Certus Semiconductor releases ESD library in GlobalFoundries 12nm Finfet process

Certus is excited to announce the launch of its ESD library for the GlobalFoundries 12nm Finfet Process. It has a variety of general voltage options: 0.8V, 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V for I/Os and power domains. The library offers ESD solutions from 500V up to 8kV HBM, and 3A to 12A CDM options for 250V-750V CDM certification. It also offers low capacitance RF as well as SerDes ESD protection. These are generic solutions ranging from 120fF to 70fF for HBM 2kV / 1kV HBM, and optimized solutions of 40fF that are suitable for HBMs with 1kV. These RF ESD solutions include high linearity, even for big signal swings and extremely low leakage.

This ESD library provides all the strategies needed for a vast selection of Flip-Chip Chiplet as well as 2.5D/3D architectures. With its compact power clamp footprint that are 38x43um when it comes to 0.8V as well as 44x41um when it comes to <1.8V this library cuts down on price per wafer. The library is able to provide more than 5V ESD protection, too. The library is silicon-tested and also tested for radiation-hardened environments. It is targeted at automotive, aerospace and industrial applications.
