Mouser Electronics, Inc. is the market’s top New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor, offering the broadest variety of semiconductors and electronic components has begun carrying 5G15 Series 5G mmWave Flexible RF connectors that connect to boards from Molex. They are designed for the most advanced 5G applications that require the flexibility of design, robust mating and minimal PCB space requirements 5G15 Series connectors offer engineers unparalleled flexibility and versatility while offering the best signal integrity performance that can reach 15 GHz.
There are two options for the Molex 5G15 Series 5G mmWave Flexible-to-board connectors for RF, offered by Mouser Electronics, are available in two different configurations one of which is a two-RF signal lines with a 1A power line and an option that has 4 RF signals but no power. Both of these options are built using the receptacle’s center shield that isolates every row to guarantee signal integrity and allows for an excellent separation to provide EMI shielding. Other features include a large aligning pitch of 0.35 millimeters to facilitate mating as well as an overmold design that helps stop pin pull-out as well as an armored split nail which ensures that the connectors are protected from being damaged during mating and allows dual usage as power or ground.
These connectors provide an maximum current of two A (1 A per pin maximum.) and can be used with 5G mmWave, sub 6 GHz and 4G/LTE or any other high-speed applications that require digital RF connectivity with a maximum of 15 GHz. They can also be used in conjunction with RF and non-RF connectivity functions to form one connector to reduce space on the PCB and also to replace the need for multiple coaxial cables by joining them into a single connector.
The strong mating of PCB and vertical real-estate features creates Molex 5G15 Series connectors ideally designed for 5G communication applications for smart home, consumer and surgical devices, medical devices and wearables, in addition to a range of AR/VR, as well as industries IoT applications.
