Mouser Electronics,  Inc. is the leading distributor of new product introductions (NPI), and has begun shipping the MAX25530 four channel automotive backlight driver. The MAX25530 combines four I2C-controlled 150 mA LED backlight driver drivers with a four-output thin film-transistor liquid crystal display (TFTLCD) bias in one 40-pin chip measuring 6 mm by 6 mm. This allows engineers to reduce the size of automobile dashboards, central information displays, and navigation displays.

Mouser’s Maxim Integrated MAX25530 includes one positive boost converter and one negative boost convertor, two charge pump drivers to power up TFT bias, as well as two charge pumps drivers. There is also a boost/SEPIC control that can power up to four strings LEDs in the backlight. TFT bias and an LED driver are required for larger and more detailed displays. MAX25530 supports larger screens and higher resolutions by providing both positive and negative analog supply voltage. These are needed for low-temperature silicon panels (LTPS), which offer higher resolution and lower costs than amorphous silicon.

Mouser offers the MAX25530 Evaluation Kit, which is a fully assembled, tested surface-mount PCB that provides power management for automotive displays. You can configure the kit to work in either a standalone or I2C mode. This provides an I2C interface that works with the MINIQUSB+ adapter boards or third-party I2C masters. Windows-compatible software is also included in the MAX25530 Evaluation Kit. This provides a simple graphical user Interface (GUI), which allows you to use the MAX25530 IC’s features.

Mouser is a worldwide authorized distributor and offers the best selection of electronic components and semiconductors. We have them in stock and ready for shipment. Mouser customers can count on 100% genuine, certified products from its manufacturer partners. Mouser’s website has a large library of technical resources to speed up customers’ designs.
