Overview of the Collaboration

Arteris, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIP), an eminent entity in providing system IP to boost system-on-chip (SoC) development, and Semidynamics, renowned for its high-performance and high-bandwidth RISC-V processor IP, have proclaimed a strategic alliance. This coalition aims to expedite innovation in electronic products tailored for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and high-performance computing (HPC) domains.

Interoperability and Accelerated Development

Central to this partnership is ensuring compatibility between Semidynamics’ Atrevido™ and Avispado™ 64-bit RISC-V processor IP cores and Arteris’ advanced Ncore cache coherent network-on-chip (NoC) system IP. Such an amalgamation paves the way for enhanced interoperability, thereby facilitating the swift progression of AI/ML and HPC architectures.

Empowering the RISC-V Ecosystem

Michal Siwinski, the Chief Marketing Officer at Arteris, emphasized the commitment to underpin clients’ preferences regarding processor IP. This alliance serves as the structural framework for the burgeoning RISC-V ecosystem, integrating it seamlessly with other processor designs. It underscores a concerted effort to invigorate SoC advancements, allowing mutual clientele to envision and shape pioneering products. Such initiatives resonate particularly with products that cater to the briskly evolving AI sector.

Demonstration Design: The Way Forward

The current phase of the collaboration predominantly concentrates on a demonstrative design. This design amalgamates a Semidynamics’ quad-core RISC-V cluster, leveraging Arteris’ avant-garde Ncore cache coherent NoC technology. This symbiotic endeavor is slated for unveiling to potential clients in the first quarter of 2024.
