It is vital to teach children concepts in science and technology engineering. Leyla Tawfik and Serena Cangiano, from the Ethafa group, created a series interactive learning solutions called “STEAMMIANS.” They are focused on teaching children ages 9-11 how to use various sensors and perform different actions.

Eolim is a large PCB which acts as a shield to the Arduino 33 IoT. It’s equipped with a microphone and two LEDs. The 3D-printed cover allows for the shield and Nano 33 IoT, as well as a breadboard to connect other components to one or more of the exposed GPIO pins.

The accompanying app allows users to take part in “adventures”, where they follow instructions to build a circuit. You can program using either a block-style interface, similar to Scratch, or the Arduino IDE. Data can also be read from the device, and displayed within the app.
